Weekly Agenda

 This week I am focusing on gathering information about 

-plant layout

-material handling

-land requirements

-location selection

-machinery selection

These are important aspects to consider. Once I am more familiar with these components I can properly design the corn field and agro-processing plant to manufacture the corn flour efficiently.

    Asked about starting a new blog this semester - answer is no just continue from last semester.
    Mickella is doing the Plant Layout course so she is getting more familiar with the tools used. Feel free to ask me about using these tools. Clear the tools with me as you use them.
    I will also accommodate a feedback meeting with ARC when students are ready.
    Consider all costs. Student has access to getting good tax estimates through a relative. Also, online calculator could be used for freight costs (couriers companies have them freely available). Next week please highlight any new tools you decided to use for the remaining parts of the project. Good job so far. Mini presentation next week.

Submission of First Draft to Dr Pemberton

Today I sent a rough draft of my FYP progress to my supervisor. Some calculation tables were incomplete in the report but I still submitted it to show where my thought process is at right now. I hope the work I have done so far is up to standard and I am able to complete this entire report within the deadline.
